Last week I got invited to a fabulous Girls Night Out event hosted by Masterpiece Advertising at The Palm Restaurant, inside The Quarter at the Tropicana.
Along with the great women who shared the evening together, the premise of the night was to showcase The Palm’s new bar-bites menu that is not only absolutely delicious but extremely affordable.
I’m talking nine appetizer selections for just $4.50 affordable. You can go to The Palm’s bar Sundays through Fridays, from 5-7pm, and choose from items such as prime steakburger sliders, mini broiled crab cakes, chicken Parmigiana sliders, Nova Scotia lobster BLT sliders, crispy blue corn fried oysters and more. So now that you know about it, make sure to plan some outings at The Palm and take advantage of the new bar-bites menu, and a new four-course dinner special — featuring a filet mignon trio, each with a delectable topping — through March 31 that’s only $49.95 per person. See more about these specials at thepalm.com/atlantic-city.
If you happen to go out to dinner on a Tuesday evening, why not stay in the city? Here’s something else you may not know about. Caesars Atlantic City has a special overnight package going on from now until March in order to take advantage of “Dusk Tuesdays.” For just $85 you can, as they say, “descend upon the hippest club in the city like the VIP you know you are.” How cool is this? You get a Tuesday night stay in a plush Caesars deluxe guest room, a $30 cocktail credit at the Toga Bar, complimentary admission for two at Dusk, and a late hotel checkout at 1pm, so you have a little more time to recover from all the fun you had the previous night.
When I saw this offer, I thought it was unique and definitely needed. When clubs have special nights to entice people to come out, there’s a fine line between having fun and truly partying. Since you should never drink and drive, to have the option of staying in a safe place for an $85 all-inclusive fee is a great idea, and a safe one at that. Go to caesarsac.com and click on the “dusk ac” icon on the bottom right corner for more information, and to book your room today.
If you plan on sticking around a while, Friday nights in A.C. just got a lot better too since the new “open to the public” dining room at the Foundation Room is now offering the “Feed Your Soul” Friday night supper club. It’s a modern fashionable mix of culinary delights, excellent music and socializing. You will get to indulge in a four-course dinner, wine and two different music acts for just $50 per person. Reservations are required and seating is limited. Dinner settings are for 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm.
The experience includes a solo singer/musician in the dining room with a live performance during each seating, and then a full band live in the Foundation Room lounge from 10pm-2am Fridays. The package is designed to offer the complete “night-out” experience and the cool thing is that the menu and wine selections will change monthly. This month’s menu includes (first course) house-made sausage, grilled veggies, flat bread, assorted pickles and spiced jams; (second course) Foundation Room salad or lobster pumpkin chowder; (third course) choice of tournedos of fillet, coffee rubbed rib eye, seafood bouillabaisse, pappardell, yogurt and buttermilk battered fried chicken. Desserts include a choice of artisan cheese plate, petite cheese cake, caramel bread pudding or “death by chocolate” cake. Plus you will have wine selections such as Terra D’Oro Moscato, Montevina Barera or Terra D’Oro Red Zinfandel. For more information call 343-4523.
I had a chance to speak with Foundation Room chef Thomas Ramsey and believe me when I tell you, he is top notch. His creativity and attention to detail is something to experience. OK now that my mouth is watering — I better start making my reservations. See you around!
